You do not have to bring these to class: just bring a switched-on mind!

Grading

This course is graded on a combination of elements, to allow each student a chance to excel. Six essays are together worth 35%, two short oral presentations are together worth 20%, two timed in-class tests are together worth 25%, and the remaining 20% is graded on active participation in class seminars. There is no final examination.
