Next week's colloquium by Prof. Harry Cliff is on particle physics. His local host is Prof. Pekka Sinervo, who is an experimental particle physicist with experience working on the LHC.
You have already done most of the necessary preparation for this when you prepared for Prof. Toro's colloquium on dark matter earlier this semester. Start your preparation for this week by reviewing the Week 4 readings, up to and including the section on Confinement. You may also like to review some of Toro's presentation, and mine (less important).
